Volunteer with RGM&HS

We depend heavily upon its member volunteers to provide support for the group through their willingness to contribute in any way possible. Our volunteers play an important role in protecting and preserving the historical record and interpreting the history of the railroad to the public. Volunteers with society work behind the scenes in the operations of the society and the creation of our publications while fostering the community interested in the Rio Grande. The RGM&HS has several publications, archiving, promotional initiatives, along with other projects including our annual conventions that require some level of staffing effort. If you are willing to help us in some capacity, there are volunteer opportunities available with the Rio Grande Modeling & Historical Society for us to continue to accomplish our goals of preserving the rich history of the Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad. The Prospector -- Authors are needed to contribute a D&RGW story to share The Green Light Newsletter -- Authors need to contribute stories or columns to the newsletter. Publication Team -- Associate Editors needed for both the Prospector and Green Light publications. Archives Team -- Volunteers are needed to help scan & record the documents into the RGM&HS Archives system. Company Store Booth -- Volunteers are needed to assist with running our booth a railroad events. RGM&HS Website -- There are many opportunities to help with the updating of web content for an assoicate webmaster. Convention Team -- Volunteers are needed to help organize upcoming conventions held by the Society. Legal Counsel -- Society is seeking a lawyer familiar with Colorado laws willing to provides counsel (on a pro bono basis) to our nonprofit.
