A Catalog of Captive D&RGW Cabooses

This list of cabooses was originally compiled by Roger Kirkpatrick in 1999 and we strive to maintain this list of cabooses as best as possible.

John Tudek mentioned that the Eagle County Historical Society has about completed their repainting of the 01461. Cost was about $5,255 with $534 of that for the polyurethane paint alone. They contracted with a local professional company to handle it as it was pretty much beyond the volunteers. Shown are the scans are before and after repainting.

Jerry Day reported recently caboose 01416 that was on display for years at Caboose Hobby Shop in Lakewood is now on display alongside the highway at Carbondale. It is on private property and fenced in.
