The Prospector is our professionally produced quarterly magazine showcasing original research, historic images, and expert writing on the Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad.

Volume 20, published in 2021, marked two decades of continuous publication and showcased the magazine’s established strengths: authoritative research, rare imagery, and comprehensive coverage of Rio Grande operations, equipment, and infrastructure.
