ScaleTrains N Scale Rivet Counter EMD SD40T-2, Rio Grande

ScaleTrains has announced a new run of N scale Rio Grande EMD SD40T-2, models in D&RGW, scheduled for release in October 2024. The unique EMD SD40T-2 “Tunnel Motor” was the backbone of the Southern Pacific and Rio Grande fleets during the 1970s and 1980s. ScaleTrains Rivet Counter model combines smooth operating performance with unparalleled railroad, road number, and era specific details.is the first and only N Scale EMD SD40T-2 to feature see-through tunnel motor grilles

The ready-to-run model fully-assembled, comes in three road numbers 5356, 5369 and 5372  and also an unnumbered unit. ScaleTrains Rivet Counter HO Scale EMD GP40 Phase IIc, Rio Grande

ScaleTrains has announced an all new model in HO scale of a Rio Grande EMD GP40 IIc, scheduled for release in December 2024. The ScaleTrains Rivet Counter series model faithfully reproduces this EMD classic by rendering the locomotive manufactured in November of 1971 for the D&RGW.

The ready-to-run model fully-assembled, comes in six road numbers 3087, 3088, 3089, 3090, 3092, and 3093 The model features numerous D&RGW specifics details including factory-applied wire grab irons, windshield wipers, trainline hoses with silver gladhands, motor with 5-pole skew wound armature, dual flywheels, All-wheel drive and electrical pick-up, directional LED headlights and with unique EMD square-corner “Burnham” LED-illuminated number boards based on D&RGW prototypes.  Model also includes Standard EMD high headlight with glare visors in numberboard housing. The model also includes “35-Line” cab with standard armrests, and flag holder bracket on right side (D&RGW), detailed cab interior with separate floor, cab blowers, rear wall, early seats, and standard AAR control stand, positionable cab side window, and much more.

Atlas Master N Scale PS-2 4427 3-Bay Covered Hopper, Rio Grande

The Atlas Master N Scale PS-2 4427 3-Bay Covered Hopper is based on a widely used car design originally built during the 1960s and 1970s. Some are still in service in the 2020s even as they hit the 50-year limit. They're perfect for handling grain, mineral and DDG traffic moving to elevators, feed mills, flour mills, ethanol plants and salt loaders.

The ready-to-run model fully-assembled, with an MSRP of $33.95 comes in three road numbers 15006,15028, and 15096 The model features highly detailed and feature accurate paint and lettering, an authentic 4-3-4 rib pattern, hopper gate details and correct trough-style hatch with a thin roofwalk. Cars feature smooth-rolling trucks and AccuMate magnetic knuckle couplers. This model features a detailed, injection-molded body, fine decoration and free-rolling trucks with knuckle couplers.

Zenith Model Works HO Scale 37' steel hopper bottom gondola 3D Models , Rio Grande

Zenith Model Works offers Rio Grande Western, D&RG, and D&RGW 37' steel hopper bottom gondola kits available at 3dptrain.com in several versions ranging from the original as-delivered Rio Grande Western, D&RG repaints, D&RG with safety appliance upgrades, D&RGW 1924 patch and D&RGW "button herald".

The 3D printed kit represents one of the first successful steel gondolas, from the Pressed Steel Car Company which were introduced in 1901. One hundred gondolas were delivered to the Rio Grande Western. They survived multiple mergers and were retired in the late 1940s on the D&RGW.

Walthers HO Scale 53' GSC Bulkhead Flatcar, Rio Grande

Walthers announced one-time run of its WalthersMainline HO scale 53' General Steel Castings (GSC) bulkhead flatcar in D&RGW.

Based on the prototypes in service from 1950s to early 2000s with some in still service today the ready-to-run limited one-time run HO model fully-assembled, with an MSRP of $37.98 comes in three road numbers 22664, 22695, and 22670 feature a die cast metal body, deck and bulkheads details, the correct 33" RP-25 metal wheelsets Proto knuckle couplers
