Description

Volume 24, Number 3 of the Prospector, our professionally produced and beautifully illustrated quarterly magazine featuring the finest work of historians and other experts on all aspects of Rio Grande Railroad was published in Quarter 3 of 2025 calendar year.

We are pleased to introduce a Co-Editor for this issue, Corey Bonsall, who will be taking over as the Prospector Editor beginning with issue 25-1. Corey has assembled the majority of this issue with my supervision and has done a wonderful job.

This issue brings Matt Darling’s coverage of the last run of D&RGW’s 2-8-8-2, No. 3610, and Part 2 of Allen Copeland’s article on the Fairbanks-Morse locomotives that were tested on the Rio Grande, but not purchased. John Tudek has once again provided scans of original documents from the CRRM’s Richardson Library. Again, we do not have room to include all the documents, but have
placed them on the RGM&HS website with Part 1’s documents and can be viewed on the RGM&HS website and may be viewed here:

Until the October issue.
